LifePlan is Here to Help You Stay Informed

Dear Friends and Associates,

Because we care about your health, our team and our community, we are taking extra precautions in our office, such as sanitizing our Reception/Kitchen areas hourly and providing hand sanitizer for advisors and clients entering and leaving the office.

We are remaining abreast of the current climate and people’s concerns surrounding their risk as well as the recommendations by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC).

We can all take steps to prepare and to limit our exposure as well as staying informed to ensure we know how to respond if the risk of exposure becomes a reality. To help you we’ve compiled some valuable information.

Self Screen Health Tools

In light of public health concerns regarding COVID-19 in Canada, we wanted to give you access to credible, verified, updated information.

In this regard, Dialogue has developed and launched Chloe (covid19.dialogue.co), a free, online automated medical assistant. This tool provides you with access to the latest public healthcare information and resources to help prevent COVID-19 infection. Chloe is available to all Canadians to stay up-to-date on the latest coronavirus news and advice. Please note that this is not a diagnostic tool. You also do not need to have Dialogue to access this resource.

Additionally, we wanted to share Dialogue’s Coronavirus (COVID-19) Guide for Canadian Organizations, which includes the latest resources to help keep our members and their families informed and healthy. This guide will be updated by Dialogue’s medical team as new information becomes available.

We are also happy to share Akira Health's new web-based screening tool and to make it available to all Canadians who may have concerns around the virus. The tool is meant to be simple but robust: with all the information out there, we wanted this to be as easy to use as possible but to give you comprehensive and useful information.

This tool should be used as a preliminary screening measure that will help you determine the appropriate next steps.

Prevention

Remember to protect yourself by following a few basic tips:

  • Wash your hands with soap and hot water for at least 20 seconds each time. If you cannot wash your hands, you can use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

  • Avoid close contact with infected people.

  • Avoid touching your face.

  • Cough or sneeze into your elbow or shoulder, not your hand.

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, like phones, keyboards, doorknobs and handles, and remote controls.

  • Avoid close contact with other people until the symptoms completely disappear.

This will help prevent the spread of the virus.

As store shelves are being cleared out and hand sanitizer is becoming harder and harder to find there is a way to make it yourself. This article from Popular Mechanics has some great information on how to make your own, THE RIGHT WAY. It's easy to do and it works!
