2019 LifePlan Christmas Hamper Program
/As Christmas fast approaches, we are reminded of those who are less fortunate. So once again, with the help of George Jay School, we have volunteered to create three Christmas Hampers for families who could really use our help and experience the meaning of Christmas.
This year’s families that we will be helping are all refugee families and have all experienced the killing of close family members and displacement. Atrocities that very few of us could imagine having to live through.
Family #1: Two parent family with 2 kids: Iraq
6 year old boy and 1 year old female.
Family #2: Two parent family with 5 kids: Afghanistan
14 year old female, 13 year old male, 10 year old male and 7 year old male
Family #3: Two parent family with 4 kids: Iraq
13 year old female, 12 year old female, 7 year old male and 5 year old male.
We will be collecting donations to help purchase the Gift of Good Food, toys, books, cloths and gift cards for each child and a Walmart gift card for the family to purchase food and extras. These past six years have been a huge success and extremely rewarding for everyone involved.
Now as we know a lot of people don’t have cheques and rarely carry cash, so we’re happy to announce we’re making it even easier again this year for people to join in and be part of this wonderful cause by way of credit card and direct online payment.
