Learn how to keep Cyber Safe

Over the past year, we have embraced technology like never before. We have found new and creative ways of staying connected to friends and loved ones and the internet has allowed many of us to transition to working remotely from home and finding a way to keep the “doors” of our businesses open during these challenging times.

Cyber Security Awareness Month is an internationally recognized campaign held each October to help the public learn about the importance of Cyber Security.

There are many excellent resources available to help you be more cyber secure. One excellent resource is the Government of Canada website “Get Cyber Safe”, which offers a wealth of information on how to protect yourself at home and in your business.  Check them out here.

When you know how to use it safely the internet offers countless ways to make life easier. We hope that some of the tips we share over the next four weeks will help you to embrace your digital experience to the fullest…in the safest possible way.

Happy New Year and Thank you!

Thanks to the support of our wonderful advisors and industry partners our 2020 Christmas Hamper programs was a resounding success. With your generous support we raised $2355 dollars that helped to provide toys, clothing, and other gifts for two families in Victoria.

We also purchased two food hampers through the Gift of Good Food program that will provide fresh food (fruit, vegetables and more!) to two families every week throughout the coming year. Our heartfelt thanks goes out to all who contributed to this very worthy effort. It is our privilege to be associated with you.

Best wishes for a happy and healthy 2021 from all of us at LifePlan Financial Group!

2020 Christmas Hamper Program

This year has been such a challenge for so many in our community. As Christmas approaches it’s nice to know that in a year where so much has changed that one thing remains the same; we are still able to be generous and impact others, making a tangible difference to someone in need. Once again, we have partnered with George Jay School and have volunteered to create Christmas Hampers for two families who could use our help.

We are privileged to help the following families this year:

Family #1: Single mother with 2 boys ages 6 and 7.

Family #2: Single mother with a 7-year-old daughter.

We will be collecting donations to help purchase the Gift of Good Food (a monthly delivery of fresh fruit and vegetables), toys, books, cloths and gift cards for each child and a Walmart gift card for the family to purchase food and extras. These past seven years have been a huge success and extremely rewarding for everyone involved. Donations may be made online via our website or by cash or cheque. Please reach out to Liana if you would like to help make this a happy and memorable Christmas for these families.

Tuesday, December 15th is the last day for donations, so we encourage you to donate as soon as possible.

For more info please contact Liana at contracting@lifeplangroup.ca or 778.405.0373.

Thank you for your generosity and best wishes for a safe and happy Holiday Season.

So How Much Do I Need to Save??

One of the first questions people ask when trying to plan for their retirement is… “How much do I need to save?” Sounds easy, right? But with so many things to consider, it really isn’t. This is why so many Canadians are unprepared for their retirement. It’s got easy to use sliders so you can adjust any part and instantly see the impact. And unlike so many so called “free calculators”, you don’t need to enter your name and email to see your personalized projections. You can even print or save the information as a PDF for future reference.
